# Way of the Mountain Monks of the Way of the Mountain are practictioners of an ancient art that teachs that anyone can have a connection with the earth and that people should strive to understand and protect one another. Those who follow this path use their techniques to protect themselves and their allies while unleashing the force of mountains upon their enemies. #### Way of the Mountain Features | Monk Level | Feature | |:---:|:-----------:| | 3rd | Supreme Fortitude, Duantless | | 6th | Earthen Power | | 11th | Stalwart Protector | | 17th | Force of the Mountains | #### Supreme Fortitude Starting at 3rd level, your resilence allows you to shrug off minor attacks. When you are damaged by an attack, as a reaction you may spend 1 ki to reduce the attack's damage by your Martial Arts die + half your monk level. #### Duantless Also at 3rd level, you gain advantage on ability checks made to avoid being shoved and advantage on Strength saving throws against being pushed. #### Earthen Power Starting at 6th level, your connection with the land around you allows you to draw power from the inexuahatable energy of the earth. Once on each of your turns, you may use this energy to take one of the following actions: * When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can empower the strike, making the attack deal 1d4 additional damage of the same type as the attack. This damage increases when you reach certain monk levels to 2d4 at 11th level and 3d4 at 17th level. * As a bonus action, you command this energy to from a shield around you or another creature you can see within 10 feet of you, granting them temporary hit points equal to your monk level until the start of your next turn. * At the start of the turn, you may draw on this power to prevent ground made of earth from hindering you. You ignore difficult terrain made of sand, earth, or rocks until the start of your next turn. #### Stalwart Protector Starting at 11th level, when an attack would target a creature within 5 feet of you, before the results of the roll have been announced, as a reaction you may spend 2 ki to change the target of the attack to you and you gain resistance to all damage dealt by this attack. \columnbreak
#### Force of the Mountains Starting at 17th level, you can empower your unarmed strikes to have the weight of mountains behind them. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 4 ki points to empower the attack. The target of the attack takes an additional 6d10 force damage and must make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, the target is pushed 30 feet away from you and knocked prone. On a success, they are pushed 10 feet away from you and not knocked prone.
