Guardians of the Grave

At 3rd level, you work so closely to the dead you have developed a knack for bringing them back to help you. You can perform a ritual over a corpse for 1 hour to call the soul of one creature to reanimate a humanoid or a beast of CR 1/2 or lower. You can choose either a corpse or a skeletons of medium or smaller creatures within 10ft. You create a skeletal or Zombified version of that creature. That creature type becomes undead and uses the zombie or skeleton stat block if it was humanoid or uses the creatures stat block if it was a beast. These creatures have the following benefits;

  • In combat, your undead share your initiative count, but takes their turn immediately after yours. As a bonus action, you can command your undead to take the actions in its stat block or the Dash, Disengage, Help, Hide or Search action.

  • Zombies and Skeletons made with this feature have bonus hit points equal to your Ranger level.

You must perform this ritual at the dawn of each day to prolong the dead you have raised. You can only control 1 undead at a time. You can raise a beast of CR 1 at 7th level and you can raise an additional undead at 11th level.

Graveyard Shift Worker

Additionally, at 3rd level, you have become accustomed to operating in the darkness. You gain superior darkvision up to 60ft if you do not already have so. Additionally, you can make Intelligence (Investigation) check with advantage when attempting to determine the cause of death of a creature.

Companion of the Dead

At 7th level, When you cast a Necromancy spell with a range of touch, one of your raised undead can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. Your raised undead must be within 100 feet of you, and it must use its reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it. If the spell requires an attack roll, you use your spell attack modifier for the roll. Additionally, as a bonus action, you can see through the eyes of one of your undead. When speaking to undead you have raise you can communicate with them as if your under the effects of the speak with dead spell.

Dead Maneuvering

At 11th level, you have become more experienced controlling and maneuvering undead in combat. You can use the following maneuvers a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all uses of this feature after completing a long rest.

  • When 2 of your raised undead are within 5ft of a creature you can make your next weapon attack have advantage against that creature.

  • As an action, you can channel foul magic into your undead to strengthen them. Till your next turn the undead you control deal an additional 2d6 Necrotic damage.

  • When a creature reduces one of the undead you control to 0 hit points as a reaction, that undead bursts with foul magic. All creatures within 15ft must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 4d6 Necrotic damage or half as much on a successful save.

Pay your Debts

At 15th level, as a reaction, when a creature makes a weapon attack against you or an ally within 5ft of your undead you can redirect the attack towards that undead. If the attack misses, that undead can make an attack of opportunity against that creature.
