Strength. Heavier armor interferes with the wearer's ability to move quickly, stealthily, and freely. The armor reduces the wearer's speed by 10 feet and imposes disadvantage on all their Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks and Dexterity Saving Throws, unless the wearer has a Strength score equal to or higher than the listed score.
Masterwork Options. A highly skilled artisan can create armor that is lighter, more flexible, or offer even better protection, by using exceptional craftsmanship and rare materials such as dragonscales or mithral. Newly crafted armor can have any number of the listed masterwork options, however, each option may only be added once. The cost of such a masterwork armor is the armor's base price plus three times its base price per masterwork option.
Example: A refined medium armor with both masterwork options would cost: 150 + 450 + 450 = 1.050 gp. Such an exceptional armor would grant an AC of 15 + Dex modifier (max 2), require a Strength score of 8 or higher, impose no disadvantage on Stealth checks, and weigh 24 lb.
