Ooze Soul
While most sorcerers can trace their innate magic through ancient bloodlines of magnificient beasts or the divine, you are not as lucky. You are connected to the Faceless Lord Juiblex, the demon lord of oozes and the shapeless.
Perhaps your ancestors made a deal with a demon. Or you might have been permanently altered by a slime that engulfed you, but left you alive. Maybe your lineage stemmed from a shapeshifting, hyper-intelligent oblex. Whatever the cause, corrosive blood flows through your veins.
Ooze Lineage
You retain some features of your ooze ancestry. You gain a climb speed equal to your walking speed and you have blindsight up to 10 feet. You learn the acid splash cantrip.
Heart of Ooze
At 1st level, your acidic blood bubbles through your skin. At the end of a short or long rest, you gain special temporary hit points equal to your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier.
Whenever you take damage while you have these special temporary hit points, you can use your reaction to cast acid splash with a range of 10 feet.
Slime Split
At 6th level, you can mold your internal ooze into a slimey duplicate. As a bonus action, you can create a perfect duplicate of yourself that lasts for 1 minute, in an unoccupied location within 5 feet of you.
The duplicate has your statistics and proficiencies, except its hit points and maximum hit points are equal to your sorcerer level, and it can squeeze through any space that is at least 3 inches in diameter. It acts on your initiatve order and it can use its action only to Dash, Disengage, Dodge, Help, Hide, or Search. Additionally, you can cast spells as though you were in the duplicate's space. It disintegrates at the end of the duration or if it dies.
You can alternatively use this feature as a reaction when you take lightning or slashing damage. When you do, you also reduce the lightning or slashing damage you take to zero.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Slippery Movement
At 14th level, your movement is unaffected by difficult terrain, and you can spend 5 feet of movement to automatically escape from a grapple. You also gain the ability to climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. When you do, you leave a small trail of barely detectable slime.
As an action, you can touch up to five creatures and grant them this ability for 1 hour. You cannot do so again until you have taken a short or long rest.
Viscous Coat
At 18th level, you are immune to acid damage.
Additionally, you can enter a slime-like form. As a bonus action, you can spend 6 sorcery points to engulf yourself in ooze and gain the following benefits:
-
At the start of your turn, you gain 10 special temporary hit points as described by your Heart of Ooze feature.
-
If you hit a creature with an attack, or if a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, it takes acid damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
-
Whenever you cast a spell that deals acid damage, you deal bonus damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
-
If a non-magical metal weapon touches or hits you, it corrodes and gains a permanent penalty to its damage rolls equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). This effect only applies to each weapon once.
You remain in this form for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you die, or if you dismiss it as a bonus action.
