Oath of Delivery

When an important peace treaty needs to be sent to another nation, or a rare relic needs to be given to a king, or when new orders need to be directed to a general before he starts a war; these are the times that paladins are called upon to ensure the goods arrive on time. Couriers that swear this oath are trusted with the most important deliveries, as everyone knows that they will protect the goods with their lives.

Tenets of Delivery

As the elite couriers and messengers of the world it is vital that you keep your reputation intact by following these tenets.

Discretion. It is not your place to judge what someone is sending or being sent.

Haste. Treat every assignment as though the world depends on it. Time is always of the essence.

Capability. You have been sent to deliver goods, not to pay someone to do it for you.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Paladin Level Spells
3rd expeditious retreat, zephyr strike
5th misty step, pass without trace
9th haste, phantom steed
13th dimension door, freedom of movement
17th far step, teleportation circle

Channel Divinity

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity options.

Deliverance. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to target a space within 90 feet of you that you can see. For 1 minute, you can use your bonus action to move up to half your speed towards that space.

Protecting the Goods. As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity to designate a Large or smaller object that you can see within 30 feet of you. For 1 hour, that object becomes immune to damage.

Aura of the Emissary

Beginning at 7th level, you exude an aura with a 10-foot radius. While in this aura, friendly creatures cannot be disarmed and cannot provoke opportunity attacks .

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Holy Courier

Starting at 15th level, your speed in delivery is unmatched. Whenever you expend a spell slot, your speed is increased by 10 feet until the end of your next turn. While under this effect, you ignore hazards and spells that would cost extra movement to traverse. You can gain this benefit more than once.

In addition, picking up and stowing objects doesn't cost you any actions, and you count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Divine Envoy

At level 20, you can use your action to assume the form of the ultimate courier, leaving an ethereal trail as you move around the battlefield. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your walking speed becomes 60 feet and cannot drop below that.
  • You can move through solid objects as long as you don't end your movement within one.
  • When you take the Attack action, you can take the Use an Object action on your turn (no action required).
  • If a creature attempts to disarm you, you gain advantage on attack rolls against that creature for the duration of this ability.

Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
