The Ancient Spirits

Ancient spirits suffuse the natural world, but only those, who managed to open up their senses to these spirits are able to wield their power.

These people are often called shamans and are usually revered among more primal cultures.

Expanded Spell List

The Ancient Spirits let you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Extensive Knowledge

Beginning at 1st level, you learn the druidcraft cantrip, you learn Druidic and you gain proficiency in the Nature and Survival skills if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies. You also gain proficiency with the Herbalism Kit.

Spirit Protection

Starting at 6th level, the Ancient Spirits grant you protection. The spirits swirl around you whenever you are in danger, allowing you to mitigate harm. When hit by an attack, you may use your reaction to gain resistance to the damage of the triggering attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Immortal Body

At 10th level your position between life and death grants you respite from the weaknesses of the living. You no longer need food or water, and you also have resistance to necrotic damage, and your hit point maximum can’t be reduced.

Guardian Spirit

As of 14th level, the spirits allow you to take the form of a guardian of nature. You can use your action to magically assume the shape of a wood woad for one hour, as per the Druid's Wild Shape feature. Once you have transformed in this way you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Eldritch Invocations

Call of the Elements

Prerequisite: 9th level

You can cast conjure elemental once, without expending a spell slot. You can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Entreat the Spirits

Prerequisite: 9th level

You can cast commune with nature once, without expending a spell slot. You can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Consult the Spirits

Prerequisite: 3rd level

You can cast augury once, without expending a spell slot. You can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Seeker of Visions

Prerequisite: 7th level

You can cast divination once, without expending a spell slot. You can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
