Pestilence Domain

Gods of the pestilence domain are those with power over diseases, blights, and infestations. When crops fail, when rats devour the harvest, or when populations are decimated by disease, it is often the work of a god of pestilence. Gods of pestilence include Talona of the Forgotten Realms, Incabulos of Greyhawk, and Morgion of Dragonlance.

Clerics of the pestilence domain are empowered by their god to go out and spread disease. They are capable of poisoning their foes and creating epidemics, all the while remaining immune to such afflictions themselves.

Domain Spells

At each indicated cleric level, you add the listed spells to your spells prepared.

Pestilence Domain Spells
Cleric Level Spells
1st bane, ray of sickness
3rd blindness / deafness, ray of enfeeblement
5th gaseous form, stinking cloud
7th blight, giant insect
9th cloudkill, insect plague

Lord of the Flies

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you learn the infestation cantrip. It counts as a Cleric cantrip for you and does not count against the number of Cleric cantrips you know.

When you target a creature with infestation and it fails its saving throw, you can choose to deal necrotic damage rather than poison damage, and you determine which direction the creature moves.

Inoculated

Also at 1st level, your god prepares your body for the work you will be doing. You are immune to disease, have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and have resistance to poison damage.

Channel Divinity: Epidemic

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to create a contagious condition.

As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to infect a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. That creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of its next turn. At the start of an afflicted target’s next turn, any creature within 10 feet of it must make a Constitution saving throw or be subject to the same effects.

Once the effect ends for a creature or if a creature succeeds on the initial saving throw, it is immune to this effect for 24 hours. You can designate any number of creatures you can see to be immune to this effect.

Distilled Poisons

By the time you reach 6th level, your poisons are potent enough to affect even those that are naturally immune to them. Your spells and abilities treat immunity to poison damage as resistance. Additionally, your spells and abilities which inflict the poisoned condition can affect creatures which are immune to the condition, though they make any save against the condition with advantage.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

White Rider

When you reach 18th level, you become the embodiment of disease itself. You are immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition. Additionally, your blood is so toxic that it damages those it splashes on. When a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, it takes poison or necrotic damage (your choice) equal to your Wisdom modifier.
