Martial Archetype:

Astral Void

Time and space are thought of as intangible things that no mortal could ever truly understand. But for creatures who live on the Astral Plane, time and space are interwoven with their very being allowing them to harness some control over it. For whatever reason, your soul has been touched by the Astral Plane. This experience has warped your very being, causing you to slowly but surely gain control over these unstable elements. Fighter be warned though, even if you think you can control these powers, do not be overconfident as in time even the tallest of mountains turns into dust.

Bonus Proficiency

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, or Religion. Alternatively, you learn one language of your choice.

Slow Time

Also at 3rd, once per turn, you may force a creature you hit with a melee attack to make a Constitution saving throw against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier. On a failed save, the target is slowed down by a temporal vortex until the end of its next turn, reducing its movement speed by half and imposing disadvantage on the target's next attack roll.

Stuck in Time

Starting at 7rd level, you no longer need to eat, drink, or sleep and your physical appearance no longer changes with age. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as keeping watch. When you die of old age, your body and soul are resurrected at a random place within the Material Plane and your age reverts to when your race reaches maturity.

Warp Space

Starting at 10th level, you may warp space around point you can see for a period of time. As an action, you may bend the space around a target point that you can see within 60 feet of you for 1 minute, or until you use this feature again. A 10 foot diameter sphere of warped space appears at that point of your choosing. All attacks made by creatures outside of the sphere against those inside of it are made at disadvantage. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Mastery Over The Void

Starting at 15th level, your control over time and space has reached its apex, allowing you to manipulate it at your will. When you take the Attack action, in place of an attack you may choose to take any of the following options:

  • Swap positions with a creature within 5 feet of you that is the same size as you or smaller.
  • Force a creature within 30 feet of you to make an Intelligence saving throw or take 3d6 psychic damage. The DC is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier.
  • You partially blink out of existence and reappear at an unoccupied space that you can see within 10 feet of you. Creatures can still make opportunity attacks against you if you leave their range, but these attacks are made at disadvantage.

Void Cloak

Starting at 18th level, your powers have coalesced to the point where you can cover your body in a inky black void cloak that provides you some manner of protection from a variety of sources. You may add half your proficiency bonus to your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws if you are not proficient with them, you are now considered to be under the effects of nondetection spell at all times, you may not be moved or teleported by a magical effect without your consent, and you gain a +1 bonus to your AC.
