# Human Heritage ## Half-giant One of your parents or a close ancestors was a giant, or one or both of your parents were half-giants. You tower over other medium-sized races and possess a well-muscled build. You gain the giant trait and low-light vision. In addition, you can select giant, half-giant, and human feats whenever you gain an ancestry feat. ## Half-Giant Ancestry Feats The following feats are available to half-giants. Some of these feats are common to people with giant blood, and have the giant trait, while others are specific to half-giants and have the half-giant trait. ## *1st Level* ### Giant Prominence [Feat 1] **[Half-Giant]**
Your giant blood runs particularly strong, granting you features more giant-like than those of a typical half-giant. You gain resistance to a damage type depending on the giant heritage of your giant parent or ancestors equal to half your level, rounded down (minimum 1) . Select a heritage from the list below, with the corresponding resistance.

In combat, you favor axes and other heavy weapons that best put your strength to use. You are trained in the battleaxe, greatclub, greataxe, greatsword, javelin, and hatchet. These weapons acquire the **[Giant]** trait for you.
For you, martial giant weapons are simple weapons, and advanced giant weapons are martial weapons. ### Giant Constitution [Feat 1] **[Giant]**
You possess an unmatched resilience to blade and poison alike. Increase your maximum Hit Points by your level. You take a *+1 circumstance bonus* to Fortitude saves against poison. \columnbreak ### Giant's Stride [Feat 1] **[Half-Giant]**
Your long legs carry you far with each step. Your Speed increases by 5 feet. ## *5th Level* ### Towering Menace [<] [Feat 5] **[Giant]**
**Trigger** *An enemy within your reach strikes you.*
Your presence bearing down upon them fills an opponent who has just struck you with regret. Force them to roll a Will Save against your class DC.
**Critical Success** The target is uneffected and immune to this feat for 24 hours.
**Success** The target is uneffected.
**Failure** The target is *feared 1* until the end of your next turn.
**Critical Failure** As failure, but *feared 2*.

**Prerequisites** Giant Weapon Familiarity You inflict devastating blows with the weapons of your giant ancestors. Whenever you critically hit using a battleaxe, greatclub, greataxe, greatsword, javelin, or hatchet, you apply the weapon's critical specialization effect. ### Powerful Build [Feat 5] **[Half-Giant]**
You possess some of a full-giant's strength, in addition to height. You receive a *+2 circumstance bonus* to Athletics checks when shoving, grappling, tripping, and forcing open. ## *9th Level* ### Uncaring Brute [<] [Feat 9] **[Giant]**
**Trigger** *You are struck by an attack of opportunity*
You are determined when on the move and hardly care when others take attacks of opportunity against you. You gain resistance to the incoming attack equal to your level + Constitution modifier. You may use this reaction after the attack hits, but before the damage is rolled. ### Resolute Survivor [Feat 9] **[Half-Giant]**
Just as giants survive on the far corners of the world, braving extreme elements in the norm, you find your ability to withstand harsh environments to be great. You treat heat and cold effects as if they were one stage less extreme (incredible heat/cold becomes extreme, extreme heat/cold becomes severe, etc.) In addition, you receive a *+2 circumstance bonus* to Fortitude saves against the effects of such environments. ## *13th Level* ### Steadfast Presence [Feat 13] **[Giant]**
Be it the result of courage, stubbornness, or stupidity, you are exceedingly difficult to move against your will. You receive a *+4 circumstance bonus* to your Fortitude, Reflex, and Will DC's against actions, spells, and effects that would cause you to be shoved, moved, or flee. ### Giant Weapon Expertise [Feat 13] **[Giant]** \ Your giant affinity blends with your training, granting you great skill with giant weapons. Whenever you gain a class feature that grants you expert or greater proficiency in certain weapons, you also gain that proficiency in the battleaxe, greatclub, greataxe, greatsword, javelin, and hatchet.
