Shadow Dancer

Forsaken by the Light, many people have been possessed by Demons throughout history. For most, possession quickly leads to madness, inhuman behavior, and ultimately, death. However, the tenacious keep a hold on reality and stand against the tide of Darkness. Instead of succumbing to a cursed fate, they harness the power of their Demon to gain access to supernatural agility and deadly combat prowess. Their darkness within craves one thing: bloodshed. Be it an enemy’s blood, or their own, Shadow Dancers satisfy their Demon’s thirst and manipulate its energy. Spilt blood serves as a catalyst to manifest incorporeal shadow demons and unleash devastating arts on the battlefield. To challenge a Shadow Dancer is to dance with death itself.

Demonic Awakening

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your Demon's bloodlust has awakened and you sate its hunger to wield its power as your own. You learn the ability Manifest Shadow. When you deal damage to a creature with a melee attack, you may use this ability once as a part of that action. Also, you may use this ability as your reaction when you take damage.

Manifest Shadow. Manifest an incorporeal Shadow within 15 feet of you. Your Shadows have an AC equal 14 + your proficency bonus, 1 hit point, occupies its space, and wields your current weapon. If a Shadow has to make a saving throw, it uses your saving throw bonus for the roll. On your turn, you may move your Shadows a distance equal to your move speed, but they must remain within 30 feet of you. When you take the attack action, you can choose to attack from any of your Shadows. Your Shadows' attacks are identical to yours. The number of Shadows you can have active at one time equals your Constitution modifier (a minimum of 1). Your Shadows dissipate after 10 minutes, if they make an opportunity attack, if they are ever more than 30 feet from you at the end of your turn, or if you become incapacitated.

Shadow Arts. You become adept at shaping your demonic energy into deadly abilities . You learn 3 Shadow Arts from the list below. You learn 2 additional Shadow Arts at 7th, 10th, and 15th level. Each time you learn a new Shadow Art, you may replace one you already know with a different one.

Blood Shards. You have four blood shards. The shards enable you to exert your will over your Shadows and fuel your Shadow Arts. A shard is expended when you use a Shadow Art. You regain all your expended blood shards when you finish a short or long rest. You gain an additional blood shard at 7th, 10th, 15, and 18th level.

Shadow Arts save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus +

your dexterity modifier

Shadow Combatant

At 3rd level, gain Darkvision out to 60 feet. If you already have Darkvision, its range increases by 0 feet. While you are wielding a weapon that has the "Versatile" property, you can use your Dexterity for your attack and damage rolls.

Gathering Darkness

At 7th level, your Darkvision grants you the ability to see through magical Darkness. You have advantage on Dexterity (stealth) checks when in areas of dim light or darkness.

Gain the ability to cast darkness once without providing material components. This ability recharges after taking a short or long rest. At 15th level, you can cast it twice.

Shadow's Retribution

At 10th level, your Shadow's lash out when you take damage. When you take damage from an attack or spell, if you have a Shadow within 5 feet of your attacker, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack with that Shadow against your attacker.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to you Constitution modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Perfect Execution

At 15th level, when you score a critical hit, you deal an additional 4d6 necrotic damage and gain temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage you dealt.

When you roll initiative and have 0 blood shards remaining, regain 1 blood shard.

Onslaught of Shadows

At 18th level, after a kill, your lust for blood heightens. When you or your Shadows reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you may move a Shadow up to 15 additional feet and use it to make an additional attack.
