You point to a point within range, causing mushrooms to grow and shoot spores in a 5 foot radius. A creature caught in the spores must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 2d10 necrotic damage and becoming infected on a failed saving throw or half as much damage on a successful one.

An infected creature takes 1d6 damage on the start of its next turn. This damage doubles every round that the creature spends being infected. An infected creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw at the end of their turn to be freed of the infection.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the initial damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 2nd.
