Dhampyr: Children of the Vampyr

Born from a Human and Vampyr parent, the Dhampyr have the innate ability to both walk among the living and dead without suspicion. While not as powerful as their Vampyr parent, the Dhampyr carry on the Bloodline of the original and as such gain the power of those that came before without the side effects that inflict the lesser vampires and their thralls.

The Dhampyr are unable to create undead thralls of their own however, what they lack in creating a force of undeath the Dhampyr have gained in the amount of freedom they truly have. Dhampyr's have an unnatural beauty and charm about them and are easily able to walk in sunlight without any problems. The only hint of their dark heritage being their red eyes and pale skin.
Some say that the Dhampyr's first came about 820 years ago when the Original Vampyr met a human woman and fell in love. The woman soon gave birth to a healthy son and managed to retain her own life force. Many human parents, whether they are male or female do not survive the birth of the child. It is thought that the price both parents must pay for their child to survive without complications is their own life force.

Ability Score Increase


Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Age


Dhampyr's have an incredibly slow rate of aging. Their body and mind grow as quickly as a humans however, at age 20 their body goes into a stasis much like their Vampyric parent. For every 100 years the Dhampyr will age 1 year like a human.

Alignment

Dhamprys typically follow a neutral good alignment, thew few that prefer evil are rare in the world of Nilintharia.

Size


Dhampyrs vary widely in height and build, due to their human ancestry, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Speed


Your base walking speed is 30.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Profane Vigor

You are resistance to necrotic damage.

Dark Allure

You are proficient in persuasion.

Ancestral Shapeshifting

As an action you can shapeshift into a bat at will. You are also able to polymorph yourself into a wolf a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). This ability uses the rules of the Druid Wildshape.

Languages

You can speak, read and write in Common and two other languages of your choice.
