Magic Resistance. Illidan has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Actions
Multiattack. Illidan makes four attacks with his Glaives of Azzinoth.
Draw Soul (recharge 5-6). Illidan draws the life from all creatures in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 22 Constitution saving throw, taking 36 (8d8) necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. Illidan regains hit points equal to half the total damage dealt.
Warglaive of Azzinoth. +15 to hit, reach 5 ft. and range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit.: 15 (2d8 + 6) slashing damage plus 14 (3d8) necrotic damage.
Legendary Actions
Illidan can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Illidan regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.
Attack. Illidan makes one attack with his Warglaive.
Move. Illidan moves up to his speed without provoking attacks of opportunity.
Flame Burst (Demon Form only; Costs 2 actions). Illidan casts Scorching Ray (+13 to hit) as a 6th-level spell.
Reactions
Demon Form (1/day). As a reaction when Illidan reaches 100 hit points, Illidan takes on a powerful, demonic form, immediately gaining 100 temporary hit points. Illidan's Demon Form lasts until his temporary hit points are depleted.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Illidan takes a lair action to cause of the following effects. Illidan can't use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Illidan summons two Flames of Azzinoth (with the statistics of an Azer) or four Shadows. If Illidan is in his Demon Form, he can choose to summon two Shadow Demons instead.
- Illidan causes a wave of green, demonic fire ignite in a 20-foot radius at a location he can see within 120 feet of him, which burns for 1 minute. When a creature enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 8d6 fire damage. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is pushed to the edge of the area.
