Way of The Silver Fist

The monks versed in the Ways of The Silver Fist believe fully in the importance of defense and solid form, training rigourously to withstand blow after blow while carrying intense weights in order to improve their endurance and hone themselves into unflinching protectors.

Frequently bodyguards of pilgrims or the weak, they do not shy from material protection, guarding themselves with sterling gauntlets and greaves or deftly wielding shields to interpose and counter their assaulters. Many take up the art of smithing as they come to see enlightenment in the steel, only satisfied in using gear with designs and materials upon which they've meditated and perfected.

Silver Fist Style

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this archetype, your dedication to the school of Silver Fist martial arts grants you the following benefits

Iron Hand Form. You gain proficiency with shields and may use your Unarmored Defense, Martial Arts, and Unarmored Movement features while wielding a shield. In addition, you gain the benefits of a shield while wearing gauntlets or greaves.

Deflect Blows. You can use your reaction when you are hit by a melee attack to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level. If this would reduce the damage to 0, you may spend 1 ki point to make an unarmed strike against the attacking creature.

Bronze Meteor Throw. You gain a special attack you may use as part of an Attack action. You may throw your shield as a ranged weapon attack at a creature you can see within 20 feet. You make this attack with proficiency, the shield counts as a monk weapon for this attack, and it returns to your hand immediately after you use it.

Steel Meditation. You gain proficiency in smithing tools.

Quicksilver Technique

At 6th level, you focus your ki towards the safety of your allies, gaining the following benefits.

Intercept. As a reaction when an ally you can see within 30 feet is hit by an attack, you may spend 2 ki points to move into an unoccupied space next to them and become the target of the attack in their place. You may use your Deflect Blows or Deflect Missiles features as part of the same reaction against the intercepted attack.

Bronze Meteor Leap. The range of your Bronze Meteor Throw increases to 30 feet.

Mithril Fist Assault

At 11th level, your mastery of Silver Fist arts lets you effortlessly punish attackers, granting you the following benefits.

Unflinching Counter. Your Deflect Missiles and Deflect Blow features no longer need to reduce the damage of the attack to 0 in order to make an unarmed strike.

Ring the Gong. You may use your Stunning Strike feature with Bronze Meteor Throw.

Adamant Dragon Claws

At 17th level, you have reached the apex of Silver Fist techniques. Your Deflects Blows and Deflect Missiles features no longer require ki to make their attacks, and the damage dice used by these attacks is now 2d10.
