If a creature's saving throw is successful, the creature is immune to the wolf companion's Howl for the next 24 hours. \pagebreak ## Design notes For the animal companions I decided it would be best if they only "level up" three times. This to keep it simple and make further calculation obsolete. Their HP is the only thing that needs to be adjusted each level. The downside of this method are powerspikes in the levels, you gain access to the next tier. I tried to give eacht animal comapnion its own abilities, resulting in different tactics depending on the animal you choose. The animals I choose are mainly based on the giant animals from the SRD and all have a walking speed (no water exclusive companions).
