Felgolos
The Flying Misfortune
Felgolos spends his days wandering aimlessly about Faerûn, peering at this and that. Felgolos is without guile and never lies outright, though he's often cryptic and omits important things for pranksome fun or to protect those he considers his friends. Many of these friends, of course, aren't above using Felgolos as an information-gatherer, or aiming him at particular places or folk to have him "stir things up."
Felgolos' roots in his service as a steed to a certain archwizard of Halruaa, one Thongameir "Stormspells" Halargoth. Stormspells was a kindly old collector of rare plants and mosses who liked nothing better than to fly across half Faerûn looking at wilderlands, stopping for a picnic luncheon, scooping up a few specimens, and then wending his way home to Narthtowers, a mountainside keep in northern Halruaa. Such adventures made Thongameir aware that Felgolos could make them both far safer if certain spells were worked upon his draconic steed. So he cast a mighty and permanent manyfold magic on the bronze dragon. The spell's secrets have presumably, with Thongameir's death, been lost -- though some of their secrets may exist in written form, somewhere within the overgrown Narthtowers.
Felgolos has developed the following spells:
Frame Teleport
6th-level conjuration
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 30 feet
- Components: V, M (a frame)
- Duration: Instantaneous or up to 1 round/2 levels
You link two wooden frames so you can pass through one frame and exit through the other. You can stop partway through the link with at least 1/4 of your body on one side; this holds the magical link open for up to 1 round/2 levels, during which you can act appropriately on either side as if the two frames were the end points of a normal doorway. Other beings cannot pass through the frame doorway, but they can push or pull you.
If the spell ends while you are still partway through the doorway, you are forced completely through to the destination side and suffer 1d10 force damage.
Aiming the link to the destination frame requires a teleport check; if the result is "off target" and no suitable frame is at that location, the spell fails.
Snatchport
5th-level transmutation
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 100 ft. + 10 ft./level
- Components: V
- Duration: 1 hour
Teleport one object weighing up to 50 lb./level that is also within spell range. Multiple items within a container count as one object. As with teleport, a teleport check is needed to see how well the teleport works.

Felgolos has the statistics of an Adult Bronze Dragon, with the following changes:
Thongameir's Master Spell. This powerful, enduring spell was cast upon Felgolos by the archmage Thongameir. Felgolos can suppress any of these effects when he wants to accept certain spells.
Enchantment Shield. Felgolos is immune to Charm effects and spells of the Enchantment school. When targeted by these spells Felgolos gains temporary hitpoints equal to the spell's level
Necrotic Renewal. Felgolos is immune to Necrotic damage, Death effects, and spells of the Necromancy school. If slain by hitpoint damage Felgalos can at any time return to life, provided he's been dealt Necrotic damage or been targeted by a Necromancy spell within the last 24 hours. He can return to life more than once as a result of the same instance of Necrotic damage or the same Necromancy spell. Felgolos can return to life in this way at most once per hour.
Transmutation Transtheurgie. Felgolos is immune to Transmutation spells. When targeted by a Transmutation spell of 5th level or higher, Felgolos can cast Teleport once in the next 24 hours. Being targeted by multiple Transmutation spells allows him to cast Teleport multiple times.
Thongameir's Master Spell is unaffected by Dispel Magic and similar effects, but is suppressed by an Antimagic Field.
Spellcasting. Felgolos is a 18th-level Sorcerer. His spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). Felgolos knows the following spells:

2nd level (3 slots): detect thoughts, invisibility

6th level (1 slot): true seeing, frame teleport
7th level (1 slot): etherealness
8th level (1 slot): power word stun
9th level (1 slot): gate
