Bloodborne Spells
The following spells were made mainly for compatibility with the Covenant of the Choir subclass, for Blackbando and /u/emperorsnek's Hunter class. All of these spells are on the cleric, warlock, and wizard spell lists. The names of each spell are links to the Bloodborne wiki page of the original tool.
Accursed Grenade
1st-level necromancy
- Casting Time: 1 bonus action
- Range: Self
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You conjure a skull in your free hand, which has vile energies lingering with curses moving throughout it. You or a creature that you hand the skull to can use its action to throw the skull at a point within 60 feet, at which point the spell ends, and the skull explodes in a 10-foot radius sphere. Each creature within the sphere must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take 3d6 necrotic damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
Executioner's Spirits
1st-level necromancy
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 60 feet
- Components: V, S, M (a pair of weathered gloves)
- Duration: Instantaneous
You create three vengeful spirits. Each spirit hits a creature of your choice that you can see within range. A spirit deals 1d6 necrotic damage to its target. The spirits all strike simultaneously and you can direct them to hit one creature or several.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell creates one more spirit for each slot above 1st.
Beast Roar
1st-level evocation
- Casting Time: 1 reaction, which you take when a creature comes within 5 feet of yourself
- Range: Self (10-foot radius)
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Instantaneous
You loudly scream with the force of a beast. Each creature within a 10-foot radius centered on yourself must succeed on a Strength saving throw, or be moved 10 feet away from you, and knocked prone.
Madaras Undead Serpent
2nd-level necromancy
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: Self (20-foot radius)
- Components: V, S, M (a brass whistle)
- Duration: Instantaneous
An undead serpent comes out of the ground beneath you, and tries to consume everything around it. At the end of your turn, each creature within 20 feet of where you cast this spell must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take 6d6 piercing damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage other creatures take increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
Phantasmal Slug
Evocation cantrip
- Casting Time: 1 bonus action
- Range: Self
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack during the spell's duration, the attack deals an additional 1d4 force damage.
This spell's damage increases when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
Eldritch Supernova
4th-level evocation
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 30 feet
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Instantaneous
You create twelve missiles out of eldritch energy, which fly forth towards creatures within range. You can direct each missile to hit the same creature as another missile, or a different one entirely. Every creature targeted must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take 1d6 force damage for every missile that hit it.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you create two more missiles for each slot level above 4th.
Augur of Ebrietas
1st-level evocation
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 10 feet
- Components: V, S, M (a small slug)
- Duration: Instantaneous
Long tentacles sprout forth from your hand and strike a creature within range, making a melee spell attack. On a hit, the creature takes 2d8 force damage, and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell deals an additional 1d8 damage for each slot level above 1st.
Blacksky Eye
Evocation cantrip
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 60 feet
- Components: V, S, M (an eyeball)
- Duration: Instantaneous
You send forth energy in the shape of a meteor-shaped projectile at a creature within range, making a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the creature takes 1d8 force damage, and is moved 5 feet away from you.
This spell's damage increases when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
Where the Fuck Are Tiny Tonitrus, Choir Bell, Old Hunter Bone, and Messenger's Gift?
You might be asking this question if you've played Bloodborne. The first three can be easily replicated using existing spells (lightning bolt, cure wounds or healing word, and zephyr strike, respectively), while the last one doesn't exactly work very well for D&D, though disguise self might potentially do it.
