Sorcerous Origin: Void Soul
Void Soul
You are a vessel of the void. The void is a plane of emptiness that consumes souls. Your job is to send them to it.
Void Warrior
Starting at 1st level, the void imbues you with skills and knowledge to better protect yourself. You gain proficiency in light and medium armor as well as one martial weapon of your choice.
Mold Shadows
When you choose this origin at 1st level, you can mold shadows to shield you from harm. When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to gain a +2 bonus to your AC against that attack. When you use this feature, you can't cast spells other than cantrips until the end of your next turn.
When you reach 3rd level in this class, you learn the shadow blade spell, which doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known. In addition, you can cast it by spending 2 sorcery points or by expending a spell slot. If you cast it with sorcery points, it doesn’t require concentration, lasts for it’s full duration, and you calculate it’s attack and damage using your charisma modifier. If you upcast the spell, it costs sorcery points equal to the spell level. You cannot cast it at a level higher than your highest level spell slot this way.
Soul Drain
At 6th level, landing successful melee attacks can drain a little bit of an enemy’s soul to empower you. When you hit an enemy with a melee attack, you may choose to regain 1 expended sorcery point.
You may use this feature once per rest.
You can also use your sorcery points to heal. When using your flexible casting feature, you may instead transform 1 sorcery point into hit points. If you choose to do so, you regain 1d4 + your constitution modifier hit points.
Isolation
Starting at 14th level, when you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can use this feature to instantly transport the target through the void. The creature disappears and is suffocated in the silent, empty darkness.
At the end of your next turn, the target takes 4d8 psychic damage and returns to the space it previously occupied, or the nearest unoccupied space.
You may use this feature once per rest.
Void Form
At 18th level, you have given in to the void and transformed into a relentless creature of shadow. You gain the following benefits:
- You no longer need to sleep, eat, drink, or breath
- You no longer age, and are immune to disease
- All your equipment, weapons, and armor can be stored in the void. This does not require an action, and it takes no action to conjure anything you have stored in it. The maximum amount of equipment you can store is equal to your carrying capacity. While your equipment is stored this way, it is unaffected by the passage of time.
