The Vampire Lord

Your patron is a powerful and ancient being that subsists on the life force of mortal beings. Those who do not know better may merely call your patron a mere vampire, when in fact they are a vampire lord! An ancient and powerful thing that has existed for many, many years. They may in fact be the first vampire, you do not know.

How you came into the service of your patron is entirely up to you. Maybe you were to be one of their victims but rather than killing you the vampire lord spared you and granted you the blood curse. Or perhaps you were on your deathbed and they happened upon you and granted you a reprieve from death. Your patron could be one of the more famed vampires such as Dracula, the Vampire Tyrant, Strahd, Kanchelsis, or any other powerful vampire of note.

Expanded Spell List

The Vampire Lord lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you choose a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

The Vampire Lord Expanded Spells
Spell Level Spells
1st Inflict Wounds, Silent Image
2nd Levitate, Pass without Trace
3rd Life Transference, Speak with Dead
4th Dominate Beast, Arcane Eye
5th Antilife Shell, Geas

Bloodsucker

When choosing this subclass at 1st level, your patron has bestowed upon you the signature aspect of vampirism. You grow a set of vampiric fangs you are proficient that deals piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Dexterity modifier. Once per turn you can gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage dealt using your fangs and you do not have to eat or drink for the next 24 hours after doing so.

Wildspeaker

Additionally at 1st level, you can cast Animal Friendship at will without expending a spell slot, but only on wolves and bats.

Terror of the Night

Starting at 6th level, your patron has bestowed upon you one of the more potent aspects of vampirism upon you. If you still have at least 1 hit point remaining you regain a number of hit points equal to your Consitution modifier at the start of your turn. If you take radiant damage or are in direct sunlight, this trait doesn't function at the start of your next turn.

Nightwalkers Presence

Upon reaching 10th level, your patron expands the bastion of vampiric power festering within you and grants you the ability to pass through the night unnoticed to stalk your prey. You can add your Charisma modifier to Stealth checks you make. Additionally, you deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage whenever you make an attack with your fangs while within magical darkness.

Vampiric Mantle

Finally when you reach 14th level, your patron has granted you a grand boon of vampiric power that now lies within you. From the moment you gain this feature you stop aging, you are immune to any magical effects that would age you, and you cannot die of old age.

Additionally as a bonus action you can draw on yourself an aspect of your patron for 1 minute. When doing so you gain resistance to nonmagical piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage for the duration. You can use this feature once per long rest.
