Blade Dancer

Master's of battlefield mobility who fight with nimble and grace. Fighters who go down the path of the Blade Dancer use their body's charming appearance along with movements like dancing, both their bodies and blades moving in a beautiful fashion, in such a way that their enemies are both distracted and captivated, their attention diverted from combat.

Two-Weapon Gracefulness

Beginning at 3rd level, you're adept at wielding two weapons in combat as graceful dancer.

You can use Dexterity modifier instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of your melee weapons as long as you are wielding a weapon in each hand.

You also gain proficiency in one skill of your choice: Acrobatics or Performance.

Acrobatic Flexibility

At 7th level you react quickly to oncoming blows, dodging them with ease.

Whenever a creature within 5 feet of you makes a melee weapon attack against you, as a reaction you can add your proficiency modifier to your AC against attacks until the end of the current turn. You can do this after the attack is made, but before damage is dealt.

You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once).

Dance of Blades

Beginning at 10th level, you learn how to perform a deadly dance with your weapons, floating in the middle of battle with grace.

As a bonus action you enter a concentrated state that heightens your combat ability for a short amount of time. While in this state you gain the following benefits:

  • Your walking speed increases by 20 feet.
  • You gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws.
  • You can add your Charisma modifier to your AC.
  • Your attack rolls made during your Dance of Blades score a critical on a 19 or 20.

You can not use Dance of Blades feature while wearing heavy armor.

Your blade dance lasts 1 minute or it can end earlier, if you fall unconscious. Once you use it, you can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Nimble Footwork

Also at 15th level, you weave in and out of combat with ease, avoiding most strikes.

Once per turn, when you make a melee weapon attack, you can move up to half of your walking speed after you make the attack. Opportunity attacks made against you for this movement are made with disadvantage.

You are also resistant to damage dealt by opportunity attacks that are made against you.

Blade Flurry

Starting at 18th level, your weapons are an extension of yourself, allowing you to strike multiple times with ease. As a bonus action, whenever you make an attack with a melee weapon in your offhand, you can make two attacks with it instead of one.

You can use this feature twice before finishing a short or a long rest.
