Grappling Hook

Improvised weapon, commmon

The grappling hook is typically attached to a standard length of rope or chain. It is light enough to be thrown but strong enough to hold up to 500 lbs.

You can use the hook to make a ranged attack roll. On a success, a small, medium or large creature becomes entangled by the grappling hook. The hook has no effect on creatures that are formless. While entangled in this way, the creature can not move further away from you. An entangled creature can use its action to free itself by breaking the rope or chain, or by making a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target's Strength (Athletics).

As an action you may attempt to pull the entangled creature closer to you. Make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target's Strength (Athletics). If you succeed, the target is pulled 10 feet closer to you or knocked prone.
