These tiny dinosaurs where among the first to fly. They use their flight to chase insects and other small prey, killing it with their sharp teeth and claws. While these claws might not kill a larger creature, they can definitely scar it with ease. With their dark plumage, they are often mistaken for crows and ravens from a distance.

Microraptors are a popular familiar for those who practice arcane magic and have read about the reptiles of the old world. With the DM's permission, you can summon a microraptor with the find familiar spell.
