Path of the Jotunbrud
Some rare individuals have been born with a great aptitude to develop astonishing physical traits - standing a head taller in almost any crowd, their forearms the size of tree stumps or their strength unparalleled among their race.
Legend says that the rarest of them actually have the blood of giants coursing through their veins. These individuals are often called Jotunbrud. Whether through a common lineage, giant blooded ancestors or some ancient and forgotten form of magic, you are a descendant of the Jotun and their traits are visible in your very physique.
While some may take these gifts for granted, barbarians who follow this path seek to embrace their inner power and often become great heroes that inspire folk tales and legends larger than life itself.
Restriction - Size matters
The blood of giants flows only through those innately strong enough to caress its full potential. This path can only be taken by characters whose race is of a medium size or larger.
Your DM may lift this restriction if the gift of Jotun has been given to you through some sort of magic or another form of supernatural phenomena.
The blood of Jotun
You never quite fitted in, both metaphorically and literally. As you start embracing your innate power these traits become even more pronounced.
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level your hit point maximum increases by 3, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level in this class. You also gain proficiency with all improvised weapons and can speak, read, and write Giant.
Additionally, you count as one size larger when determining whom you can grapple or shove as well as for determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
The Strength of Jotun
Your natural talents grow as does the confidence with which you utilize them.
Beginning at 3rd whenever you enter a rage and are wielding a versatile weapon in one hand, you can use it's two handed damage die. Furthermore, your normal and long range for all weapons with the thrown property are doubled.
Iron Grip
The mere strength of your grip is enough to shatter bones and wield weapons that are too heavy for ordinary men.
At 6th level you gain proficiency in the Athletics skill if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses this proficiency.
Additionally, while you are raging, you can use two-weapon fighting even when the one-handed melee weapons you are wielding aren't light.
Seize the Momentum
You see every combat as game rather then an obstacle. The challenges set in front of you only give you a sense of vigor and excitement, each exchanged blow making the battle even sweeter.
Starting at level 10, each time you enter a rage you gain immunity to the frightened condition for the duration of that rage.
Also, whenever you score a critical hit you may choose to push the target 10 feet in a straight line or knock it prone. Whenever you are struck by a critical hit, your next weapon attack deals additional damage equal to half your barbarian level.
Larger than Life
You have fully embraced the blood of Jotun and fellow giants may even grudgingly accept you as their kin.
Starting from 14th level, whenever you enter a rage, you may choose to grow in size as if affected by the Enlarge option of the Enlarge/Reduce spell. While enlarged in this way, you deal double damage to objects and structures.
This effect is not considered as casting a spell nor does it require concentration to maintain, it lasts until your rage ends or you decide to end it as a free action.
Additionally, if you successfully grapple a creature that is at least one size category smaller than you while enlarged in this way, it is automatically restrained.
