The Astartes
Astartes are the righteous crusaders of their gods. They among the finest humanoid warriors in the multiverse. Their training is without peer and their divine powers imbue them with strength beyond that of a mere mortal. They are simultaneously loved and feared by the people of their homeworld. Although they are highly devoted to their nations, they are first and foremost beholden to their gods and sacred code.
Tenants of the Astartes
All Astartes follow a code of conduct which holds these tenants.
Faith. Above all else, you never forget your god or gods. Only through their divine favor can you wield power.
Duty. You are a person of ordered purpose. You have a duty to your god, to your country, and to protect civilization and all the good peoples within.
Determination. You never give up when you have a duty to fulfill. If a task is important enough, you will see it through to your last, dying breath.
Judgement. Part of your duty is to judiciously destroy evil wherever you find it, regardless of its source and your personal feelings.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd, level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Relentless Devotion. As an action, you can call upon your holy perseverance. For 1 minute, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can make a Constitution saving throw with the DC being equal to 5 + the damage taken. On a success you remain at 1 hit point instead. You can add your proficiency bonus to this saving throw, unless you are already proficient in Constitution saving throws.
Additionally, if you succeed on the saving throw, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 3 + your Paladin level.
Righteous Fury. You can use your Channel Divinity to fuel your battle prowess. When you hit an enemy with a weapon attack, you can make an additional weapon attack as a bonus action, with advantage.
Forged in Battle
Beginning at 7th level, you emanate a resiliency to even the most extreme conditions. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to Cold and Fire damage. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
No Mercy
Before your weapons, your enemies know no respite. At 15th level, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you and your allies within 30 feet have advantage on their next attack roll, or until or the start of your next turn.
Angel of Death
At 20th level, when you step onto the battlefield, your presence is felt like a god of war. You can use this feature to gain the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You have resistance to all damage dealt by other creatures (their attacks, spells, and other effects)
- When an enemy hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a weapon attack against that same creature.
Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you complete a short or long rest.
