### Oath of Might Paladins of Might believe that the body itself is meant to be cherished, celebrated, and honored through persistent training. Those who take this oath take treating their bodies like a temple to the extreme, putting as much energy as possible into improving their physiques, power, and stamina. They worship an odd array of gods, honoring gods of war, beauty, and even gods of creation for their roles in their creation as an individual. Sometimes called stone warriors or statue knights, these paladins treat their bodies as works of art that are constantly being being improved upon. They usually wear fitting armor that takes on the appearance of their muscles similar to ancient Greek and Roman plating. However, a common misconception is that paladins of might are vain, overly proud, and arrogant. On the contrary, they humble themselves in the hard work they put into their training. They honor everyone’s physique as a work in progress and appreciate the work people put into everything they do, even if it isn't towards building muscle. #### Tenets of Might While tenets of the Oath of Might may differ slightly from paladin they all emphasize the divinity of the body as a creation of the gods in one way or another. **The body is strong.** Have confidence in your strength and put it to good use. **The body is holy.** Treat your body as well as those of others as temples. Honor the divinity of the body as a gift of the gods, and avoid necromancy as it desecrates this holiness. **The body must grow.** Train adamantly and aid others in their journey to find physical strength when possible. **The body is art.** All bodies are beautiful in one way or another. Never allow the shaming of another’s physique, as everyone is at different points in their journey. #### Oath Spells You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed ##### Oath of Might Spells | Paladin Level | Spells | |:-------------:|:---------------------------------------| | 3rd | *earth tremor, longstrider* | | 5th | *enhance ability, enlarge/reduce* | | 9th | *erupting earth, haste* | | 13th | *freedom of movement, stoneskin* | | 17th | *skill empowerment, steel wind strike* | #### Channel Divinity When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. **Relentless Spirit.** As an action, you let out a mighty war cry, creating a faint magical barrier around you that hugs you and your equipment. You and allies within 10 ft of you gain advantage on saving throws against being knocked back or knocked prone. If you or an ally within the aura is knocked back, the distance thrown back is decreased by 5 ft. Allies who travel through the aura also receive this deduction in the knock back distance. Whenever you hit a creature with divine smite, you knock them back 5 ft as well. #### Carved in Stone At 20th level you gain the ability to temporarily turn yourself and your equipment to stone, taking on the appearance of a living statue. For 1 hour you gain the following benefits: - You cannot be petrified, since you are already made of stone - You gain resistance to bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage - You have advantage on strength and constitution saving throws - You gain +1 AC You may only use this feature once, regaining the ability to do so after a long rest. > ##### Man of Bronze > Greek and Roman soldiers were referred to as bronze men due to the styling of their armor. If you think it would make more sense, you could replace Carved in Stone with Man of Bronze, which would have the same status effects, but cause your character to turn into bronze instead of stone.
