Ranger Archetype
At 3rd level, a ranger gains the ranger archetype feature. The Seelie Knight is a new option for that feature.
Seelie Knight
In their mastery of nature, some rangers come to be very familiar with the ways of the fey beings that live in secluded wilderlands. Seelie Knights are those who draw inspiration from these fey, imitating their passions and caprices to cultivate enchanting magics like unto their models. Strong-willed and unrestrained, seelie knights fight with their hearts on their sleeve and their emotions in the open, and by so doing empower their martial magics.
Seelie Knight Magic
Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Seelie Knight Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, and it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.
Seelie Knight Spells
Ranger Level | Spell |
---|---|
3rd | charm person |
5th | moonbeam |
9th | fly |
13th | conjure woodland beings |
17th | awaken |
Champion's Favor
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can make a vow of sincere yet capricious love, just as the fey do. As a bonus action, choose one friendly creature you can see within 120 feet of you. This creature becomes your affection for 1 minute, and you can't select another creature as your affection until this effect ends.
Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature within 5 feet of your affection with an attack, you can inflict an extra 1d8 damage of the weapon's damage type.
Shroud of the Summer Court
By 7th level, the boon of the faeries rests heavily upon you. You gain resistance against damage from spells.
Champion's Protection
At 11th level, when a creature inflicts damage against your affection, you can make a single weapon attack targeting the creature as a reaction.
Blessing of the Summer Court
By 15th level, the common tricks and charms of fey creatures slide off of your soul like the morning dew. You are immune to being charmed.
